Inelteh offers a very wide range of level gauges that can be used anywhere in the vessel. In addition, level gauges come in a variety of designs, so a neet solution is available for a variety of applications.
The main function of a level switch is to determine whether a material or gas reaches a predetermined (critical) value. The robust Inelteh level meters, once that set value is reached, will immediately send out a signal to give alarm. That alarm signal can be sent, for example, to a display, a valve actuator or a pump. In addition to triggering an alarm, it is therefore also possible, to immediately initiate an automatic action, such as turning on a pump, to replenish a deficit or pump off a surplus.
In principle, Inelteh level gauges are made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The level meters meet the highest protection class for dust and water resistance, IP68.
Inelteh is currently the only provider worldwide of a MED approved system for water level measurement, which is required for passenger ships or ships with a passenger notation. Within the Water Level Detector program, various level meters and measurement sensors are available, all of which comply with Solas 74 Regulation I-II /22-1 and IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1291.
A magnetic level switch or level meter works on the basis of a float with a built-in magnet. As soon as the liquid level in a tank changes and drops, for example, the float moves down with it. This will repel the opposite magnet, then activate the switch. The signal converter in the head of the level meter (separate installation in a cabinet is also possible) converts the resistance change into an analog signal of 4-20mA, so that an alarm can be triggered.
